‘Protelindo Berbagi’ collaborate with Indonesian Doctors Association and Halodoc to Campaign the Motion of Let's Fight Against COVID-19 and Distribute Medical Devices to a number of Hospitals and Public Health Center in Indonesia

Jakarta, April 18, 2020 – PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo), through its Protelindo Berbagi (Protelindo Care) program, has held various CSR activities to tackle the spread of COVID-19. Through Protelindo Berbagi’s campaign "Let's Fight COVID-19", Protelindo's teamed up with IDI (Indonesian Doctors Association) and Halodoc to deliver medical gear, including more than 2000 PPE / protective suits, 2000 Face Shields and 100 Portable Sinks.

The assistance was given directly to hospitals most in need as cited by the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), the Indonesian Lung Doctors Association (PDPI) and Halodoc, the online health platform. The distribution of medical devices began in early April 2020 and will continue for the rest of the month.

According to Indra Gunawan as Director of PT. Protelindo, "We believe that the struggle against the corona virus cannot be carried out by the government alone, it requires contributions from various parties. The government and private sector must work together to help the efforts of our community. As Indonesia’s number one tower company, we believe that we should prioritize national solidarity and collaborate with the government to overcome the crisis.”

This initiative also get a good response from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), because currently the supply of medical gear such as PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), coveralls, masks, face shields and portable sinks is very limited, while demand continues to increase.

The hospitals in question are Mintohardjo Hospital, Pasar Minggu Hospital, Fatmawati Hospital, Cengkareng Hospital, Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Persahabatan Hospital, Sulianto Saroso Hospital, UI Hospital, Head of Anesthesia Department, Kramat 128 Hospital, St. Carolus, UKI General Hospital, Pasar Rebo Regional Public Hospital, Pelni Hospital, Tarakan Hospital, BBTKL and several Public Health Centers in Jakarta.

In addition to hospitals in Jakarta, Protelindo Berbagi also distributes gear to several hospitals in Central Java and Jogjakarta, such as: Panti Rapih Group, Emanual Hospital, Banjarnegara and several other hospitals and public health centers in the area; West Kalimantan and the Riau Islands with a total of more than 30 hospitals and 25 Public Helath Centers throughout Indonesia.
