About PT Sarana Menara Nusantara
PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (SMN or the Company) was established in Kudus, Central Java in 2008. The main focus of SMN’ business is to invest in the operating companies who own and operate tower telecommunication sites and lease them to wireless communication companies.
Since 2008, SMN’s main investment is its ownership of 99.99% shares of PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo). As the Company’s business activities are conducted primarily through Protelindo, the description of SMN’ business will be focused on the assets and operations of Protelindo. Any references to “our”, “us”, “we” or “the Group” refer to SMN and Protelindo and its subsidiaries on a consolidated basis.
Established in 2003, Protelindo is the leading independent owner and operator of towers for wireless communications companies in Indonesia. As of December 2022, Protelindo owned and operated approximately 29,792 telecommunication tower sites with more than 53,771 tenants in Indonesia, primarily in Sumatera, Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua.
And for Conncectivity, currently have 50,144 activations including 38,267 home connect by the end of June 2023.
Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk, the parent company of Protelindo, has also become one of the companies included in the category of stocks with significant market capitalization and stock liquidity by being included in important indices such as IDX 30, IDX ESG LEADERS, FTSE Asia Pacific and MSCI Global Standards Index. For the criteria of Environment Social and Environment, recently MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital Index) gave an ESG Rating at BB level for SMN for the first time.
