When natural disasters strike in Indonesia, PT Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (“Protelindo”), the premier tower telecommunications infrastructure company in Indonesia, always tries to respond. During the last 6 months, our CSR program, Protelindo Berbagi, has delivered supplies and aid to people and local governments affected by natural disasters in Lombok, Sulawesi and Recently, Protelindo channeled donations directly to the people affected by floods and landslides in Sentani, Jayapura. Protelindo Berbagi distributed water, food and other necessities through the Sentani District Regent office. The donations was directly received by Mr. Timothy J. Demetouw SE, MM as ASDA 3 and Mr. Victor Dean Mackbon S.H, S. IK, M.H, M.Si as the District Chief of Police of Jayapura.
"We contributed to help the people in Sentani who were victims of this natural disaster. We also reached out to Local Government to see how we can help them during these emergency situations," said Ferdinandus Aming Santoso, President Director of Protelindo. "We hope that these contributions will help to alleviate the suffering of the people, many of whom are still in refugee camps"
As reported in the national media, in March 2019, flash floods took place in Sentani, Papua, which resulted in the loss of life and property. This floods occurred due to the high intensity of rain at the top of Cyclop Mountain.
