Pekalongan - Heavy rain flushed the City of Pekalongan, Central Java since Sunday (2/23/2020) night to Monday (2/24/2020) causing the overflow of Bremi River and Meduri River to an average water level of 30 -100 cm. It led broader flooding in the city of Pekalongan. The head of Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pekalongan City, Sasmita said that 80 percent of Pekalongan City area is currently submerged by the water and around 14 thousand residents have been affected due to the flood.

Profesional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (PROTELINDO) as the largest telecommunications tower provider company in Indonesia that has contribution in socio-economic life of Indonesian people, shows its concern for flood victims by providing assistance directly to them in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program on Monday, March 2, 2020. The assistance provided included the provision of food, hygiene kits, medicines and pampers for children. The OM regional team has collaborated with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in distributing donations, especially in the three worst districts, namely: North Pekalongan, Kramatsari and Tirto.
The Head of the Disaster Prevention and Preparedness Section of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Pekalongan City, Dimas Arga Yudha S.Sos. said, "We feel very helped by the assistance from Pratelindo. We started distributing this assistance, not only in the refugee camps, we distributed to flood affected residents who were not displaced while their houses were flooded with high flood levels,"
This CSR activity is one of the responses toward the disaster and commitment of the company for the socio-economic life of the surrounding community.
